      Hi, I’m Joaquin Elizondo

Film and scripted TV editor, member of American Cinema Editors (ACE), marathon runner, and aspiring drummer.

I’ve edited high-profile projects including The Abandons, Griselda, Dark Winds, Narcos: Mexico, and The Hot Zone: Anthrax. My work has been seen on Netflix, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, AMC, NatGeo, Hulu, and NBC, among others.

I created Hollywood Editing Mentor to share practical, current technical workflows and career guidance from inside the industry, with an emphasis on fundamentals, trust, and sustainability.

And I’m not teaching theory here. These are the same strategies I used to move into scripted and the same fundamentals I still rely on today while I’m actively working.

If you’re feeling uncertain right now, you don’t need hype. You need a map and a plan. That’s what this workshop is.
